Surrounded by mountains and enriched by the waters of the famous Batten Kill that runs through the valley, The Shires has historically been a popular four season destination for those seeking the authentic Vermont experience. The "Shires of Vermont" painting by Will Moses

As a fourth generation member of the renowned Moses family, painting is a natural tradition for Will, who began painting when he was four years old. Today, Will continues to carry on the family tradition. Although his style is reminiscent of that of his celebrated great-grandmother, it is more complex and sophisticated. Will's painting "The Shires of Vermont" celebrates the historic, cultural, and scenic beauty of our region.
